A. It should be good where ever they accept visa cards, it's just like a credit card, and i work at a bank, so we always recommend our customers to use their credit card when they travel overseas. I don't think they should have a problem with it.

Q. I live in Canada but have a friend living in NSW, Australia for whom I would like to order some dvds and an external hard drive for her birthday. Because of region coding and the cost of shipping internationally I want to order from a trustworthy electronics store in Australia but I don't want to spoil the surprise by asking her about it. A. If you want to buy online then look at Dick Smith (dse.com.au), or JB HIFI (jbhifi.com.au)... Both have very good prices and an online store where you can buy products, pay for them and I think even have the gift wrapped before they are shipped straight to your friend...
Also, for the DVD's, Sanity.com.au is a big online CD/DVD retailer - I've bought stuff from them before and they seem pretty decent.
