A. Actually there is no orphanages in Houston. It is all governed by CPS and they don't allow outsiders to do any activities. YOu have few other options Texas children hospital is one. I heard they do coordinate activities. I couldn't find the details but call or go to their website. Also local charities like NAM and churches do Toys collection for needy kids which you can help out. Toys for Trot is another way you can help out by collecting and distributing toys. I have done it once and it was lot of fun.

A. The best things to get for kids that age are books--big books they can turn the pages of and read with their parents. Puzzles (with big and very few pieces, of course!) are also great gifts. Stuffed animals and dolls are always classics too.

A. put in a chick flick or a scary movie or just talk. Maybe go to a party if theres one nearby.. do something that u both like, i wouldnt suggest the mall unless u were gonna buy her something - make it a special night with just the two of you.
