What are some good birthday gifts for a 21 year old?

A. If you don't want to get alcohol but something related, you could always get him a really nice beer glass or a hip flask and engrave them.
If you don't want something sentimental, something like a voucher always goes down well (then you can help him shop for some new clothes or DVDs or something).
What's he into? Anything specific like a sport or a hobby. You could find out what he needs for that hobby and buy it, like a new baseball bat or a nice knife if he's really into cooking.

Q. I have a friend who's turning 21 in a few days, and she's been really depressed for a number of reasons not to mention a bunch of her friends bailing on her 21rst birthday NYC outing...but since all this has happened I'm really want to do something for her that would just make er happy...without resulting in alcohol or any of that, just to show her that yeah- u can still have fun. Any ideas?
