Q. I am from the United States and I would like to purchase an online gift card for my friend that lives in the Netherlands near Breda. I want to send it through email and its a birthday gift so I don't want to spoil the surprise by asking him. Can someone please help me?
A. Bol is indeed the obvious one, but if you do want to do that then you'll have to create an account and the site is only in Dutch.
Another alternative is Play.com. The site is in English and they deliver free of charge to the Netherlands. We have used them many times and are price comparable (taking into account delivery costs of other online retailers) and never had a single problem.
Also they allow you to send the gift voucher by Email as well http://www.play.com/GiftVouchers.html (but your friend must have a credit card to open an account, but I'm sure that he or a family member/friend will have)

How long do backordered items take to be delivered?
Q. i ordered a birthday gift for my mother online 26 days ago and it's still not here. I got an email saying the item was out of stock the day after i ordered and they told me to wait 2 weeks... its been nearly 4. Do backordered products usually take this long?
