Is it acceptable to sell wedding gifts received over ten years ago?

Q. I have recently found the need to consider selling personal items, including wedding gifts (china, crystal, silverware, etc.), given to my husband and I over ten years ago. Our reasons are financial in nature and we have not used the items in many years if at all. The thought occured to me when I was shopping for a wedding gift recently and realized the monetary value of some items I have. I normally wouldn't have considered it further but we really could use the money right now.

A. sure if you do not need the items by all means sell them

How can i distinguish real Crystal and fake?
Q. I need to buy a gift, Set of 12 Crystal wine glasses.

A. Look to see the lead content and the maker. Once you see and use fine crystal it isn't hard to tell from cheap glass. I have both and the crystal is finer, heavier and clearer. The ring tone doesn't really prove anything. The feel is a much better indicator.

what is the best way to transport fragile gifts from town to town?
Q. i need to transport around 20 baskets of marriage gifts. all gifts are fragile, glass, crystals, gypsums, etc.
what is the best way, considering the cost and the safety of the gifts?

thank you.

A. Foam and bubble wrap. Wrap the items in bubble wrap and pack them in foam. Should withstand the trip. Be sure to write fragile on the boxes. Good luck.
