Q. i have a $20 gift card to macy's that i don't think i'll be using anytime soon. I can't find anything there i want! would it be totally weird to go up to someone in the store and say, do you want to buy this gift card from me? i could even have the cashier swipe it to prove the balance. then it's a win win. because i can't return to macy's. and to tell the truth, i really want a marshall's gift card instead. but cash will do.

A. there should be an 800 number on the back of the card to call and check. I'm not sure if you can check it online or not. They can also check in the store for you.
How do I redeem my Macys Gift Card online?

A. There should be an option on the Macy homepage that allows you to redeem your card. Just look for the 'redeem' button
