What can I put in a Christmas gift baskets for parents/family?

Q. The community service club I run in school is trying to support a few families in financial trouble over the holidays by raising money then buying gifts. We're planning on buying toys for the children and then putting together a gift basket for the parents. We were thinking of putting in something for the whole family like movie tickets or a gift card to a restaurant. We were also hoping to get some gift-cards to a walmart or grocery-store and some nice spa things for the mom. What do you guys think should go in these gift-baskets?

A. I think the movie tickets and restaurant gift cards are a great idea, that would be a nice splurge for a family who struggles financially!

Other things you could put in- gift card to a movie rental place with some popcorn and candy, a board game, a deck of cards and a book of card games, lip gloss or nail polish (if you know the family has girls or more mature colors for the mom), batteries (for other Christmas toys?), set of extra gloves or mittens for the kids... That's all I can think of, hope it helps!

What should I use to fill Christmas gift baskets for my Team Members?
Q. I am the leader of a business team of freshman college students.
I thought it would be a great idea to give them gift baskets before we all left for winter break.
I bought these really cute 99 cent gift baskets for them but I have no idea what to use to fill them with, and I think to just put candy in it is lame.
I am a student myself, so I don't want to spend a whole lot, as I have 15 baskets to fill.
Any ideas or suggestions?

A. You could go to the dollar tree or store, which ever you have, and buy mugs and hot chocolate pouches and some candy. You can put one mug in each basket with some hot chocolate and candy. You can even add some homemade stirring spoons, which are plastic spoons with chocolate. Here is a recipe:http://christmas.organizedhome.com/recipes/kitchen-gifts/chocolate-coffee-spoons they are really easy to make. Another thing you can add to your baskets are dipped pretzel sticks. All you do it buy pretzel sticks(you can find these at the dollar store if not at the store for cheap) and you dip them in chocolate and sprinkle some sprinkles on top. You can put one or two in each basket. Recipe here: http://www.ehow.com/how_2179547_chocolate-covered-pretzel-rods.html
It will cost you about $20-$35 for all 15 baskets.
Hope I helped!

What website can I find wholesale items for making gift baskets?
Q. My wife wants to start making gift baskets along with other things as a business. What's a good website to find cheap wholesale items and baskets so that she can start making some samples?

A. You should check out http://www.toptenwholesale.com and http://www.wholesaleu.com. you will find dozens of wholesalers and manufacturers listed on those sites. One for example is http://www.giftbasketdropshipping.com. They will even ship premade gift baskets to your wife's customers.
