Q. My sisters birthdays are coming up on april 2nd and 3rd. One is turning 23 and the other 26. I am hosting a bday bbq at my house and providing everything. For one, do you think i should still get each of them a gift or is a bday party enough. If yes, what should i get them?

How much money should be spent on a 15 year olds birthday gift?
Q. I turn 15 in a couple months, how much would you spend on your 15 year-olds bday gift? Would I be able to get something more expensive because we don't get christmas presents, or does that not matter?

A. When i was growing up, my mom spent between $40-$60 on birthday presents depending on the thing that i wanted at the time. If it was something bigger...she'd give me $60 in cash just to put towards what i was saving up for...if i just wanted books or movies, she'd some of the ones i had on my Christmas list and spend around $40-$50.
We'll probably be spending around the same amount on our kids.
When asking for a gift...don't think unreasonably. Don't ask for an iphone or laptop or some gift that costs hundreds of dollars. If you want something like that, just suggest to people that they give you cash because so and so is the gift that you have in mind and want to save up for.
