What's your favorite Christmas gift?(:?

Q. Mine is my baja hoodie that my mom got me:) it's blue and gray and white

A. My all time favorite Xmas gift is a Daschund Calender my dad gave me.

Why do dogs and cats bring their loved one 'gifts' like dead lizards?
Q. Every dog I ever owned used to bring me 'gifts'. My jack russel used to bring dead rats to my feet, and if she found a nest of baby rats, she'd carry them (alive) to me. My daschund brings whatever she kills to me. Lizards, birds, once she brought me a possum...She doesn't kill things often, but when she does she carries them into the living room, drops them on the floor and wags her tail while staring at me (or my brother).

My kitten has started killing blow flies, and when he does, he puts them on my bed. Everyone I know has experienced their pet bringing them a 'gift'.

Why do they do it?

A. It's because they want to please you. Most pets want to make you happy, especially dogs. Now, if you are like me, you put stuff on your bed a lot. Your kitten might take notice, and put his little gifts on your bed. You are their master, so they want to make you happy. If you were an animal, you'd probably be happy. And, don't scold them if they bring a present. Just throw it out. It makes them sad, thinking you didn't like their gift, and they will try to get something bigger and better.

How can I help my friend grieve for her cat?
Q. My roommate from college had to put down her cat today. I really didn't like this cat, but my friend means a lot to me and I want to give her something that doesn't scream sympathy (like yellow roses, a card, etc).

I don't have any pictures of the cat, or else I would've done a scrap book or something, and I'm definitely against pets as gifts so I can't go to a shelter and get her a new one...

I thought of donating some money in the cat's name to a shelter, and I will, but I want something I can give her too.

Any ideas?

A. Get the poem (Rainbow Bridge ) for her and put it in a nice frame , so she can hang it on the wall. It is a beautiful poem about our deceased pets waiting for us over rainbow bridge in heaven. Made me feel beter when I received the poem from a friend when I lost my daschund. If you need a copy just type in Rainbow Bridge in your search bar .
