Q. We have been together for 3 years now so I want something more original/personalized than the standard girlfriend gifts ( jewelry, cloths, etc.)
My limit is 200$ ish. ( please no comments about not needing to spend that much).
Links to sites with good ideas would be great also.

A. get her something cute um i know you said no jewelery but like a really special ring or like a really pretty pair of earings like diamond studs something that she'll remember
What birthday present should i buy for a hopeful girlfriend?
Q. I really like this girl and she invited me to her party....we are both juniors in high school. It's a pretty exclusive party and she invited me. We are friends and we both like each other but we aren't far enough along to be girlfriend and boyfriend yet...what would be a good gift? jewelry? idk haha
A. Depending on your range of cash!
Best present i'd say is a pretty awesome card, and put in a wee personal message cause that always makes things better not just To ... From... Happy Birthday! Add something else in :) And you can never go wrong with a bracelet!
Or if you know what she likes get her something that corresponds to it like if she likes harry potter then get her a hagrid teddy or something. :L
Gluck!

Social stigmas aside, are friends with benefits superior than being in a relationship?
Q. I feel this may be the best option. I know people who literally hate themselves and are constantly depressed for being in a relationship and spending so much money on courting/dating, materialistic gifts like jewelry, and the constant drudgery of going to places/events instead of spending time home - saving money and play games instead. Obviously it's a money issue, but I feel this is the source of why people "break up" in the first place. Of course you have to worry about std's and warts, but I think a screening process would be simple.
A. of course. relationships are a complete waste of time and money. why put up with all that cr@p just to have sex?
