Doughnuts

Candy

help me find a good present for secret santa buddy?
Q. it's my secret santa person and i have to give her two gifts:one under $5 and another more pricey, expensive/good quality gift.

she's really girly,so what should i get her? i think she might want some bath and body items. do you know any good deals or specials at any of the stores now?

A. Bath and Body is good. So is Yankee Candles, Under $5. go to the dollar store, they have a lot of items in there. Do you know what she collects, if so get her one.

What gift should bring to a white elephant party?
Q. It's supposed to be under 5$ and anything goes(last year a guy wrapped a thong in panty liners, but I don't wanna do that.). I kinda wanna bring a gag gift but nothing obscene.

A. I go to a white elephant party every year, and I've found that one of the best ways to come up with a great, inexpensive gift idea is to visit the local Goodwill and scan the aisles. Without fail, I find something inspiring. This year I found a great painting on black velvet. Last year I found a Thigh Master that was packaged with a Jane Fonda workout tape.

Some gifts that have been big hits at parties I've been to have been nostalgic things, like well-known record albums, classic toys and board games that everyone remembers playing with, or fad items like leg warmers or striped suspenders.

The trick to a good white elephant gift is finding something that's funny, but also that someone (maybe not you, but someone!) might actually want. It doesn't have to be obscene....there are also gifts that kind of hint at naughtiness. Last year someone brought a belly dancing video and thumb cymbals and this was fought for like mad.

Check out the thrift stores and keep an open mind. The search can be half the fun!
