Q. What is your best valentines day gift ever???? And i don't mean like, balloons, flowers, bears, chocolates, etc.
A. a ring and all the things you don't want me to say.
What is the best gift you ever received from anyone?
Q. By best I mean gift that made you the most happy.
Also, it must be something that was specifically intended to be given to you as a gift. So no "when my baby was born it was the best gift ever" or anything like that.

A. Every year for Christmas/birthday (a few days apart), I receive one tie from my mother. The ties are usually higher end, being combined Christmas/birthday presents and come from fashion houses such as Hermès and Kiton. There is no particular one that stands out, but what makes it so special is that I know my mother has spent hours searching for a tie that she thinks fits my style and my personality.
A nice tie is a great gift for the working man, because he needs to wear a tie 5 days a week and every time he puts it on, he is reminded of whoever gave it to him.
Two years ago, my youngest sister (10 at the time) desperately wanted a dog. She found an adorable rescue puppy that had been abandoned and was on the put-down list. Whenever she was asked what she wanted for Christmas, she would reply "Ashlie" (the name she had given the dog). My mom finally gave in and told the shelter she would adopt the puppy, but to keep it a secret from my sister, I "accidentally" left notes concerning a robotic dog around the house for my sister to find and whenever my sister mentioned Ashlie I would suggest that a robotic dog might be a better alternative. As Christmas grew closer, my sister became convinced that she was not getting the puppy. On Christmas Day, she found an enormous box in the center of the living room with her name on it. She opened that box last, perhaps hoping that the robot dog would not be there. Inside she instead found a dog collar with a tag reading "Ashlie."
