Q. I received a 1/2 gallon betta fish bowl as a gift. My office gets to approximately 70 degrees F.
Do I need some kind of heater? If so, is there a heater on the market for such a small volume?
Thanks.

A. I'll save the too small preaching and just answer the question.
I have one of these in a 2 gallon and it keeps it a steady 78

you could also try one of these, it's for reptiles but don't see why it wouldn't suit your purpose

Would you believe you only got a christmas card from the gift giver because of that situation with the jerk?
Q. Every year for the past five years, you received a gift from a gift giver. This year, for Christmas, you received a card and no gift. Would you believe you only got the card because this office jerk made you look really bad, stupid and trashy in front of the gift giver. This office jerk also caused stress for the gift giver over the same situation.

A. Or maybe it's because 0bama has devalued the dollar so badly that inflation has the " gift giver " cutting back on spending ?
I have an Office Depot gift card. Why can't I use it at Office Depot to buy a different gift card?
Q. I was given a gift card from Office Depot. At present I have no use for anything in their store. I went to Office Depot yesterday to purchase a "different" gift card- Which that they sell. I was denided the purchase. I was told it was against CA state law. WHY?
A. Short answer here in CA we have poor laws
long answer
I have found many times the "it's against the law here" claim is simply a lie. All the chain store that are known for lying seem to convieniently have laws in effect on their store that do not apply to other local stores. Because other local store are truly based on customer satisfaction rather that use advertisements to make it seem that they are. Usually the its against the law claim is a cop out. Your best bet is to complain loudly and forcefully. If you are a big enough pain or make enough of a scene in the store (not so much as to merit them to call the police) odds will usually fall your way.
As an alternative i suggest selling it for a small loss. Say its a 25 dollar gift card try to sell it on craigslist or the pennysaver if it is published in your area for $20.
