what can i do to help other people for christmas?

Q. im 15, and i have a lotttt of christmas spirit. i would like to help other people that are in nursing homes, or dont have a lot. I dont want to do something like "toys for tots" or something that i just donate money to, because then it wont be personable. I want to interact and really help. i cant drive. what are some ideas that i could do?

A. Try contacting the Salvation Army. They do lots of great things at Christmas and the rest of the year. My Mom is in a retirement home and the Salvation Army comes in with a little gift for each of them (like warm socks). Maybe you could help deliver them. They also have many other activities where she lives.....bingo, music, games, tea & treats, etc. They often have young people in to help. This year my son (also 15) is helping the Salvation Army with their fundraising Christmas kettles.....they are always looking for volunteers to help with that. Check with your local church as well. They usually have a family that could use your help too. It's great that you are thinking of others and wanting to help!

What is a romantic gift for my girlfriend under 20$?
Q. My girlfriend and I decided to buy each other one gift with a limit of 20$ with the intent to put a lot of thought into the meaning of the gift and to make it special. With the Christmas money left over we can buy gifts for friends and donate to local charities. I'm having trouble figuring out what to get for her and I figured there might be some more creative people than me out there. So any help would be very appreciated.

Tin of Danish cookies.
Box of chocolates.
Box of different types of cheeses.
Box of different types of sausages.
Fruit baskets.
And many more.

5. Christmas center pieces delivered from a florist or you can deliver yourself. Great for moms.

6. DVD movies, add a box of microwave popcorn.

My Fiance and I are spending our first christmas acutaly together. We want to start a Christmas traditons for couples . If anyone has some good ideas thank you so much. I know of the kissing under the mistletoe and each person picking out one decoration for the tree but are there anymore.

A. Buy some pretty Christmas toasting glasses, and have a toast to your first Christmas together.
Buy an ornament for the tree, a nice collectible one, just the two of you.
LIght a Christmas candle together.
Decorate the tree.
Drive around, and see all the pretty lights, tune in a radio station playing carols.. Or go to a comercial light show.
Buy some canned goods, and take them to the food bank, together.
Call the relatives to wish them Merry Christmas.
Go to church.
Have an empty creche under the tree, and put the baby Jesus in it.
Buy each other an ornament.
Do a Christmas eve tradition. Open just one gift from each other.
Have a cocoa and cookies snuggle by the fire, or TV.
Buy a Christmas movie, watch the same one, or a different one, every year.
Go caroling.
Volunteer to a food bank, or deliver Chistmas baskets to the poor.
In advance, call a local nursing home and ask what they need for the patients.
Have a open house for the neighbors.
Fill each others stockings, without the other one seeing.
Cook dinner together. Cook something that isn't a tradition.
Deliver some small gift to each of the neighbors, a plate of cookies, a box of candy.
Bake some cookies together, and decorate them. Or make fudge.
And don't forget the mistletoe!
