Do you open gifts at a graduation party in front of the guests or wait til later?

Q. We usually open gifts for birthday parties for my son, but this is for my Master's Degree and I feel a little weird opening gifts in front of everyone. I didn't even want gifts, but I know that some people will bring something anyway. Thanks in advance.

A. When people give gifts they like to see the reaction of the receiver when they are opened. It is polite to open them and act surprised and grateful even if you're not. Be gracious & share your delight!

What should I get my boyfriend for his birthday?

Q. We have been dating for six months and we are very close. His present was going to be tickets with awesome seats to a Blink 182 concert (his favorite band) but they just canceled their US tour today. I don't want to get him anything to cheesy or sappy. It's hard because I had already had the perfect gift! His birthday is at the end of the month, if anybody has any ideas they are much appreciated!

A. maybe a rare blink-182 album like flyswatter. but there are only like 300 of them in the world. or just give him several other blink albums
