How do i send mail to the philippines, if the destination address doesn't have a house number?

Q. I want to send a valentines gift to the philippines. Many homes outside the metro areas have no house number. How do people in the provinces get mail delivered to them? How will the mail carrier know which house to go to? I'm from the US.

A. My previous address in the Philippines doesn't have a house number too but mails delivered to me just fine whether it's Fedex, DHL, EMS or USPS.
What important is you indicate the street name, name of baranggay or subdivision and of course the name of the recipient. Some provinces have Purok numbers and Baranggay names as alternative to street address. Mail carrier usually call the cellphone or home phone of the recipient especially Fedex which requires you to put the recipients contact number. That way, they keep in track with the receiver's location.
In case of EMS or USPS packages, the recipient just receive a mail/package notice from the local office then s/he have to go to the office to claim his/her package and pay some Php30 or more depends how big the package is. There s/he must present proper identification and the mail notice.

Where to buy Christmas Baskets in the Philippines?
Q. Christmas is coming, and was planning to send some gifts in the philippines specially a good collections of christmas basket, for sure grandma will like it? Im currenly in canada and i dont want to spend bucks for expensive shipping cost, so i would like to try webstores :D

So Any Suggestions?

A. I know of a Website that is just starting out and you will not spend a lot on shipping. She makes gifts baskets for all occasions. She can make one up for you or you can tell her what you would like in it. You can check out some of her baskets that she has done and drop her a line or comment to tell her what you think or would want.

i want to send a gift to philippines its a small box only.?
Q. is it better if i'm going to send my gift by LBC or UPS,or in the post office? But i don't have the number of the house, all i have is the town, city, country and the zip code, but when i send a letter to them they recieved it..Do i need the house number to be able to send a gift to philippines?

A. I advice you not to use post office when sending a package (small or big) to someone you know in the Philippines. It's not safe and the receiver will be asked to pay for some custom charges. You better use LBC, Fedex or UPS, it's fast and safe! You don't need a house number to send the gift... just make sure you write a telephone/cellphone number in the form when sending, so that they can contact the receiver in case they need to confirm the receiver's name and location. I hope that helps. Good Luck!!!
